Manor Park road re-opens after incident declared ‘non-suspicious’

Police have resolved an incident this morning which led to the evacuation of schoolchildren in Manor Park.
Pupils and staff from Kensington Primary School were taken to nearby Little Ilford School in Browning Road while police made enquiries.
A resident who lives opposite the school said crowds started to gather on the road shortly after police arrived around 8.30am.
A spokesperson for Scotland Yard said: “We investigated an incident and it has turned out to be non-suspicious.”
