A man hit by a double decker bus by Beckton roundabout remains in a critical condition in hospital.

The 43-year-old pedestrian was struck at the A13 and A406 junction near Barking just before 5am on Friday.

After being freed from under the vehicle, he was taken to an east London hospital suffering multiple injuries. A police spokesman said he is now in a critical but stable condition.

No arrests have been made.
