Rashid Naeem, 29, of Clements Road, East Ham, was selling mobile phones at the stall in Green Street where he worked on Sundays.

He was pronounced dead this morning at Royal London Hospital.

Three boys, two aged 14 and one aged 16, will appear at Stratford Juvenile Court today accused of murder.

Tributes poured in from stall-holders today for the father-of-two, who is thought to have had a new baby just months ago, with fellow traders saying Mr Naeem was very popular with his customers.

Danny Opara said he spoke to Rashid at about one o’clock on Sunday and he said he was busy.

He said: “He was a nice guy, friendly and everybody liked him.

“The customers were all really happy with him and used to come from far away.”

Another trader, Emmanuel Azubuikenna, said: “He was a very good chap, and now everybody has been crying and praying for him.”

Mr Azubuikenna said Mr Naeem was “one of the nicest people you could ever meet”, while another said he was a “good man, a gentle man and everyone liked him.”

Other traders expressed shock at the news that Rashid had passed away.
