The final weekday of the Olympic Games will include events at locations across London, meaning the public transport system will continue to be busy.

Hyde Park will host the men’s 10km marathon swimming, and there will be BMX track cycling finals at the Olympic Park, among other competitions.

The live site at Hyde Park will also be open, as will the site at Victoria Park. Stations that can be used to access the Hyde Park Live Site include Bond Street, Marble Arch and Green Park.

Marble Arch and Hyde Park stations will operate flexibly and may become exit only if they are busy, said Transport for London (TfL).

Victoria Park can be accessed from Mile End station.

London’s Transport Commissioner, Peter Hendy, said: “We are approaching the final days of the Games and there are now only three days left of Olympic sporting action, in what has been a phenomenal sporting fortnight.

“Record numbers are using the transport network during this exciting time for our city, with over 4.5 million journeys on the Tube on Tuesday - the busiest day in London Underground’s history.

“We’re tremendously grateful to Londoners for their efforts in adapting their travel patterns – it’s made a huge contribution to the success of the Games so far and I would urge people to continue to plan their journeys and avoid the busiest stations at the busiest times.”
