The Torch has reached the Mayor’s Town Show at Central Park, East Ham, greeded by a huge crowd in carnival mood.
It was carried by Plaistow student Samuel Berhanu, 19, a great promoter of the Games at NewVic college.
Mayor Sir Robin Wales is expected to welcome its arrival while the relay escort team take a short breakl and a cuppa, we hear, before moving out of the celebration and into High Street North.
The comedian Eddie Izzard has hit out at London Mayor Boris Johnson whilst maintaining he is ready for the challenge of pursuing politics himself.
