Hannah Krone is taking to the streets of London to support those who live on them.
The 23-year-old is running to raise money for Caritas Anchor House, a Canning Town charity which supports more than 210 homeless people each year.
She said: “I hold a long-standing interest in causes supporting homeless people, and whilst living in the US I was involved in raising awareness of homelessness.
“So when I found out that Caritas Anchor House had places available in the London Marathon I was keen to sign up.”
Hannah, who lives in Islington, has been training since December and is aiming for a time of 4:50.
She added: “Though it’s been hard work, it will all be worth it in the end.
“I’ve done previous running events in the US and elsewhere in Europe, but this is my first time running the London Marathon so I’m looking forward to taking part and helping to make a difference to the lives of homeless people in Newham.”
