Voters across Newham are taking to the polls this morning to select the borough’s councillors and mayor for the next four years.

Elections are taking place in all 20 council wards, with 208 candidates contesting 60 seats.

Eight candidates are vying to become the borough’s mayor.

In addition, residents have a say in London’s representatives in the European Parliament by casting their votes today.

Polling stations across the borough are open until 10pm this evening, but you can only vote at the location specified on your polling card.

Schools, community centres and churches have all been converted into polling stations for the day.
