Courses at Newham College are being overhauled to improve how its curriculum matches students’ career aspirations.
The task is being undertaken by new deputy principal Janak Patel who will develop courses, programmes and the college’s centres along with increasing apprenticeships and training with employers.
Janak, who started in May, said: “My work at Newham College will be all about ensuring that the curriculum we offer continues to be outstanding and underpins the development of the long-term careers of all our students.”
Newham Council’s rejection of a planning application for the UK’s biggest mosque is set to be the subject of a public inquiry this year.
