A Stratford restaurant faced a real culinary test when the Prime Minister of Jamaica made an impromptu visit.
The Most Honourable Portia Simpson was joined by Rt Excellency Aloun Ndombet-Assamba, Jamaican High Commissioner to London, and her entourage of ten when she dropped into Caribbean Scene in Gerry Raffles Square last wweek.In Newham to see the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games, Ms Simpson met with owner Patrick Marche who said she was “very impressed that a Jamaican/Caribbean restaurant of this calibur existed so close to the Olympic Stadium and Village.”
