What’s your connection with the borough?
Managing director at Newham Hospital.
What’s the best thing about working or living in the borough?
Our vibrant, diverse population.
What one thing would you change?
I would like to see everyone benefiting from the borough’s full range of health resources. Know where the nearest pharmacy is, get a free flu jab if eligible and regularly order repeat-prescription medication.
Use three words to describe the area?
Young, growing, improving.
Who is the most inspiring person you have ever met?
When my daughter was unwell I found everyone who looked after her at University College Hospital inspirational. It wasn’t just the one person, but the whole team. It was humbling.
What new law would you introduce if you were the prime minister?
To enjoy more of our beautiful green spaces in London.
If you were the editor of this paper, what issues in the borough would you focus on?
Increasing opportunities to access care from our broad range of health services.
