Going on-line will be easier this summer for comuters with free wi-fi connection offered at 80 major Tube stations among them Canning Town, Stratford and West Ham.
London Underground and Virgin Media will provide up-to-the-minute travel information, access to social media whilst they wait for their next train on the station platform or web browsing.
After testing the service should be available by the end of July.
Gareth Powell, London Underground’s Director of Strategy and Service Development, said: “The first stations include some of our busiest and most well-known destinations.”
Newham Council’s rejection of a planning application for the UK’s biggest mosque is set to be the subject of a public inquiry this year.
