Evening of star gazing at West Ham Park on offer

10:52 11 February 2014

Budding astronomers who don’t mind the cold can go along to West Ham Park for an introduction to stargazing on February 27.

The free evening event will give them the chance to learn the basics of stargazing and how to find constellations and planets visible from the park in Forest Gate. Booking for the evening is essential as there are only a limited number of spaces available. A maximum of four places can be reserved per booking.

The event takes place on February 27 from 6.45pm to 8pm. Children must be over 9-years-old and accompanied by an adult.

Organisers are urging interested people to dress up warm and to bring binoculars if they have them.

Exit from the park will be through one gate only and you will only be able to leave the premises once the event has finished.

To book email: parks.gardens@cityoflondon.gov.uk or call 020 8472 3584
