The men, who work in the Assurance Department, took the decision to grow taches to raise vital awareness and funds for men’s health, including prostate and testicular cancer. They are responsible for audit processes and standards in the Trust .

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world.

The funds raised in the UK are directed to programmes run directly by the Movember campaign and their men’s health partners, Prostate Cancer UK and the Institute of Cancer Research.

Statistics have revealed that one in nine men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, 40,000 new cases of the disease will be diagnosed in the UK this year and that 47 per cent of testicular cancer cases occur in men under 35 years and over 90 per cent occur in men aged under 55.
