Langdon School pupil Murad Shaikh, 13, has a severe condition and he is on medication every day to help him recover from a kidney transplant he underwent at Evelina Children’s Hospital in 2008.

He was invited to the Grosvenor Hotel in central London to meet the former Rugby Union prop forward by Avrill Mills who set up charity The Dream Factory in 2008 after losing her son to leukeamia.

Run by volunteers, The Dream Factory aims to brighten up the lives of children with life-limiting conditions and severe disabilities and Jason Leonard has raised over £50,000 for the charity.

Busy Murad also attended a concert in City Pavilion Romford last week with another one of his heroes, Pakistani singer Abrar al Haq who invited him onstage.

The evening was organised by Pakistani politician Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto to give awards to Asian shopkeepers who make a positive contribution to their community.
