Eye doctors swapped their white coats in favour of being pretty in pink to raise money for a cancer charity.
The colour is usually associated with the fight against breast cancer, but staff at Specsavers opticians in East Ham held a pink-themed fundraiser for Cancer Research UK.
During the event on February 21, the opticians also treated their customers to a buffet-style food and drinks party and held a raffle in which the star prize was a designer pair of glasses.
The store, in High Street, raised more than £150 although staff are still welcoming donations from clients.
Store director Ravi Persand, said: “Once again the staff have shown what a community-focused store we are. We hold a number of fundraising events each year and we are a regular supporter of Cancer Research UK.
“There was a great atmosphere in the store on the day and we are lucky to have brilliant customers who support our fundraising activities.
“Many members of staff have family members who have been affected by cancer so it is a charity we feel passionate about.”
