Woman stabbed at Forest Gate home

A woman has been stabbed in her home in Forest Gate.

Police were called to the house in Nigel Road just after 3pm before the woman was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

A 28-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and taken to an east London police station.

The London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance were both called to the scene.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information should call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
