Twin burglars have been jailed alongside three other men for a spate of raids in Newham.

The gang, from Surrey, carried out a spate of distraction burglaries across London over several months before they were caught earlier this year.

During their spree they also stole property including cash and phone cards from small businesses in Brent, Islington, Richmond upon Thames, Southwark, Ealing, Lewisham, Barking and Dagenham, Camden, Waltham Forest, Kensington and Chelsea, Enfield, Lambeth, Wandsworth, Merton and Greenwich.

Together they were sentenced to more than six years in prison at Harrow Crown Court on Friday, May 9, after pleading guilty to burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.
