Police release CCTV footage after Beckton sexual assault

Police have released CCTV footage of a man wanted for questioning after a teenager was sexually assaulted in Beckton.

The 19-year-old victim was walking along Valiant Way shortly before 8.30am on Sunday, October 8 when a man approached her from behind.

He then forced her to the floor and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect had followed the victim from Tollgate Road before the assault, officers believe.

They ask anyone with information on the incident to call 0208 217 6571 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
