Newham police community support officer charged with rape

A police community support officer based in Newham has been charged with rape, blackmail and misconduct in a public office.

Kabeer Yousaf, 30, was remanded in custody on charges of rape, blackmail and misconduct in a public office.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed he was charged today.

He was remanded in custody and will appear at Southwark Crown Court on Friday, January 24.
