Bailiffs discovered a massive haul of $8.5million in cash at a flat in Wards Wharf Approach, Docklands, east London.

Police were called to the apartments at around 10.25am yesterday where they discovered the mound of dollar bills.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of money laundering. He has since been released on bail to a date in mid-August pending further enquires.

Police are testing the money to see if it authentic.
