A man appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court this morning in connection with the death of Zahir Bouchia.
Nadeem Yasin, 42, of Claremont Street, North Woolwich, has been charged with murder.
After a short hearing, he was remanded in custody to reappear at the Old Bailey at a date yet to be fixed.
Mr Bouchia, 43, was found by police in Woodman Parade, North Woolwich, on May 21 and pronounced dead on June 6.
A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as head and chest injuries.
