Two people have been arrested in Newham as part of a probe into paedophiles swapping information on Twitter
Two people have been arrested in Newham following a raid by police investigating complaints of paedophiles using Twitter to swap vile images and details of children.
The arrests were among those made by officers after the Sunday Mirror newspaper discovered hundreds of perverts operating on the social networking site.
The paper tipped off police and Scotland Yard confirmed officers arrested a man and women at their flat and seized computer equipment.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “A man and a woman, both in their 40s, were arrested in the E16 area on Friday and have been bailed until November.”
Police burst through the doors of 13 suspected gang members today in a series of dawn raids to crack down on street violence.
