A teenager is being treated in hospital this afternoon following reports of a stabbing in Canning Town.
The London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance (LAA) were called to Star Lane at around 11.40am to a young man thought to be around 18-years-old suffering from stab wounds.
He was taken as a priority to an east London hospital by ground ambulance but the LAA doctor accompanied him.
He is said to be conscious and in a stable condition.
Eyewitnesses say the stab wounds were inflicted by a samurai sword but the weapon remains unconfirmed.
