Stratford murder suspect bailed after questioning

A man arrested in Stratford yesterday on suspicion of murder has been released on bail.

The 21-year-old was detained and questioned in connection with the fatal stabbing of O’Neil Irwin, 36, who died in Ulverston Road, Walthamstow on Monday.

Scotland Yard said today that the suspect arrested in Stratford has been bailed to return to an east London police station in mid-July pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information on the murder of Mr Irwin, who was from Walthamstow, should call 020 8721 4906 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
