A musician has denied owning a pit bull called ‘Poison’ which mauled five police officers during a raid on his home.
Symieon Robinson-Pierre, 25, says it was not his dog that attacked officers in Albert Square, Stratford, on March 22.
Pcs Martin Corderoy, Lee Bush, Marc Merrit, Steve Bones and Paul Garrard were injured in the half hour frenzied attack, which left them with hand and leg wounds.
‘Poison’ was shot dead at the scene by police marksmen.
Robinson-Pierre appeared at Inner London Crown Court today, where he denies owning a dog that was dangerously out of control. He also denies kidnapping Mohammed Salam.
Abdul Azad, 22, of Ilford, also denies kidnapping Mohammed Salam.
Both were remanded in custody until June 8.
Police burst through the doors of 13 suspected gang members today in a series of dawn raids to crack down on street violence.
