British Transport Police have released images of a woman they want to speak to after a passenger was assaulted on a train travelling between Stratford and Bishops Stortford.

The attacker, who is believed to have boarded the train between Stratford and Tottenham Hale, pulled out a clump of her victim’s hair and pushed her from behind, causing her to fall off her seat.

PC Christopher Fishlock said: “I neeed to speak to the woman in the images I have released today, as I believe she can provide information regarding the incident.

“I would ask anyone who recognises her to contact us.”

Witnesses should contact British Transport Police on 0800 405040 or text 61016, quoting reference B12/ESUB of 27/8/2014.

Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
