Capture your favourite image of Newham to win £250 voucher

Submit your favourite photographs of Newham for a new exhibition and be in with a chance of winning £250 in shopping vouchers.

Promoted by housing association Metropolitan, ‘Capture the Spirit of a New London’ invites residents to take a photo that demonstrates affection for where they live - whether it be a ‘secret’ part of the borough, triggers fond memories, or shows loved ones enjoying the area.

The competition promotes the Affordable Home Show East, organised by Greater London Assembly programme First Steps, to showcase 2,818 first-time buyer homes in East Village, formerly known as the Olympic Village, including a virtual tour of East Village Apartments.

Jim Munson, spokesperson for First Steps, said: “East London has a real buzz to it thanks to the Games and the focus of E20.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming first-time buyers to the Affordable Home Show East and hope the competition will shine a spotlight on areas that showcase London in all its vibrancy.”

Open to over 18s, the deadline for entries is 12pm on Friday October 5 and the winner will be announced at the show while the other photos will be part of an exhibition at the show.

First Steps Affordable Home Show East will be held from 10am to 4pm at Hilton Hotel, Canary Whard, E14 on Saturday October 13.
