Canning Town students need your help to make their local charity campaign a success for the second year running.
Big-hearted pupils at Rokeby School, on Barking Road, are collecting non-perishable food this Harvest Festival for Newham-based RAMP (Refugee & Migrant Project) that supports destitute families.
Run by the school’s Citizenship Committe, a group of like-minded students who organise fundraising activities, staff and parents are also contributing items such as tinned food, rice, pasta, oil, soup, biscuits, or cereal.
Donations can be left at Rokeby School reception, Barking Road, Canning Town, E16, or visitors can ask for organiser Debbie Ward.
Police burst through the doors of 13 suspected gang members today in a series of dawn raids to crack down on street violence.
