Delighted children will now be able to make the most of the summer months thanks to a makeover.
Twelve students from Newham joined skilled tradesmen at Arc In The Park playground in Hermit Road, Newham to give the centre a new lease of life.
Work included installing a new disabled shower and toilet and fire alarm.
The project was led by Vinci Facilities who provided their services for free.
Vinci business and community investment manager, Josephine O’Connor, said: “The place will have a new lease of life for the spring.
“This work means that funding can be used elsewhere, it’s not taking it away from the children.”
Kevin Jenkins co-founder and life president of Community links said: “It’s absolutely brilliant.
“It’s a bright and welcoming building, a place you want to be in now.”
And he added that the contribution of everyone who gave their time had made a real difference.
“It’s great when public and private charities come together, he said. “What they have done is get to help us make a real difference in years to come.
“We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making all this possible.”
