Jason Kutosi, from Hathaway Crescent was granted a wish from Rays of Sunshine children’s charity to meet his actor hero.

The brave 14-year-old is currently living with a brain injury which was caused by a bleed on the brain during surgery, leaving Jason paralysed on the left side of his body.

Jason has spent a lot of time in hospital since in rehabilitation and physiotherapy to try and improve his movement and one of his favourite things to do is watch the films of Hackney born Adam Deacon, especially urban comedy ‘Anvuahood’.

Keen to ask the BAFTA-winning actor and writer questions about his work, a wish application to meet him was submitted on Jason’s behalf and charity workers set about making his dream come true.

Since 2004, Rays of Sunshine have dedicated themselves to granting the wishes of young people between the ages of three and 18 who are living with serious or life-limiting illnesses.

The charity treated Jason and his parents like royalty, arranging for them to be picked up from their Manor Park home in a limousine and driven in style to the Millenium Hotel in Mayfair to be introduced to Adam.

The two sat down and discussed Adam’s films in detail and Jason had lots of questions to ask about the characters - he even showed Adam his own impersonation of one of the dances in ‘Anvuahood’.

Adam said he was very impressed with Jason’s knowledge, calling him a super fan.

The family were then escorted away in their limousine to eat dinner at the Planet Hollywood restaurant in Piccadilly Circus.

Afterwards, Jason’s mum Jane said: “The wish was great, Jason really enjoyed it.

“Dinner at Planet Hollywood was yummy.”

Adam was so impressed with Jason that he took to Twitter to tell his fans about the special day, tweeting: “Had a very inspiring day meeting Jason and working with the good people of @RaysofSunshine.”
