A motorcyclist has been injured in Manor Park this morning after an accident involving a car.
The police and ambulance services were called to Romford Road at its junction with Meanley Road just after 9am to attend to a man suffering with neck injuries.
Lee-Ann Richards, of Forest Gate, saw the incident while travelling on a number 86 bus into work.
She said: “It looked terrible. There were at least 30 people just standing around watching.
“Everyone just seemed to be in shock. I saw the man, the motorcyclist, lying on the ground on his back looking absolutely distraught.”
Paramedics are still attending to the victim at the scene.
Police burst through the doors of 13 suspected gang members today in a series of dawn raids to crack down on street violence.
