The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the Lower River Roding

A flood alert remains in place for parts of East Ham around the Lower River Roding.

An initial warning was issued on Saturday morning for areas around the river including Barking, Ilford, Redbridge, Woodford and Wanstead.

The river remains high but is now slowly falling. Showers are forecast for this morning followed by a mainly dry afternoon. Further unsettled weather is forecast for later in the week.
