West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has revealed that Andy Carroll is closing in on a return to the side.
The Liverpool loanee missed the 0-0 draw with Norwich after picking up a hamstring injury during the 3-0 win over Fulham at the beginning of September.
“The leg is improving rapidly,” said Allardyce.
“Day by day we will assess the situation and the minute we think we can get him back, we will.”
Yaya Sanogo says a meeting with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was enough to persuade him to snub a move to Lille and join the Gunners instead.
