Valence House Museum visit
Author Philip Stevens will be holding a talk about his new book ‘The Pioneers of West Ham United, 1895-1960’ and signing copies at Valence House Museum tomorrow (Saturday).
The book charts the early history of the club, from its formation as a works team in one of the toughest industrial areas of London in 1895 and through the triumphs and disasters of its early years until the 1960s.
Tickets for the event, which takes place from 2-4pm, are free but must be pre-booked at Valence House reception on 0208 227 2034.
“A wonderful insight into the characters who helped establish this great football club,” said John Northcutt.
Yaya Sanogo says a meeting with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was enough to persuade him to snub a move to Lille and join the Gunners instead.
