Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez insists is still in the process of making plans for the January transfer window, but says he needs to see more of his current squad in action first.
The Blues have stuttered to consecutive 0-0 draws in Benitez’s first two games in charge at Stamford Bridge, and he takes his side to West Ham today in search of his first win.
Chelsea’s disappointing form has seen rumours begin to circulate of possible incoming players in January, but Benitez is refusing to give anything away just yet.
“I’m pleased they’re asking me, but it’s too soon,” said the Spaniard, whose side have been linked with moves for Brazilian forward Taison and Southampton full-back Luke Shaw.
“I want to see the team in a couple more games.”
The Brisbane Road-based club are hopeful permission for a review will be granted after oral hearing.
