Sam Allardyce has rubbished rumours linking West Ham and QPR with David Beckham, reiterating that Manchester United is the only English club the 37-year-old would play for.
With Beckham’s five-year stay at Major League Soccer side Los Angeles Galaxy drawing to a close, speculation had increased over a possible return to the Premier League.
Harry Redknapp’s QPR have been linked with the iconic former England star, and Carlo Ancelotti’s PSG as well as AS Monaco are among the overseas clubs to express serious interest.
But after Beckham himself admitted he would find it hard to play for another Premier League side other than former club United, Allardyce has admitted there is little hope of a move to London.
“As far as I’m concerned David Beckham doesn’t want to play in England for any club other than Manchester United,” he said.
“I haven’t heard any different from David Beckham or his representatives.”
The Brisbane Road-based club are hopeful permission for a review will be granted after oral hearing.
