Tom Huddlestone wants to prove his worth at White Hart Lane

Tottenham star Tom Huddlestone is desperate to prove his worth to Andre Villas-Boas after his injuries wrecked his season.

The 25-year-old has returned to action and has been tipped to replace Luka Modric, should the Croatian leave but the midfielder wants a spot in the starting line-up.

“Regardless of whether Luka stays or goes, I want to be in the starting XI,” Huddlestone said. “Whenever I’ve been fully fit at Tottenham, I’ve been in the team and I want that to continue.

“Luka’s a fantastic player and I don’t really know what his situation is. But I am fully confident in my own ability to play in the team with him or without him.”
