Tottenham winger Gareth Bale believes that his side can return to winning ways, despite their humiliating defeat to Arsenal.
Spurs, for the second game against the Gunners in succession, were beaten by five goals to two, but unlike the previous encounter, they had to play with 10 men for most of the game after Emmanuel Adebayor was sent off in the first half.
“We started well, felt in control, got an early goal and the lads were confident that we’d see out the rest of the game or even take the game to them and score some more goals,” said Bale.
“It was obviously disappointing in the end but the lads showed spirit, we fought back and tried to attack at every chance.
“If the lads show that spirit in every game, with 11 men, I’m sure we’ll be fine.”
