Scott Parker is set to face Mario Balotelli again on Sunday when England take on Italy in the Euro 2012 quarter final

Tottenham star Scott Parker has forgiven Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli for his stamp when the two sides met in January.

The Italian is set to line up for his country against England on Saturday and the Spurs midfielder insisted that he had no bad feelings towards the controversial striker.

“It’s football - this is what happens in football,” Parker said. “Whether Balotelli meant to do what he did or not, I don’t know.

“He got punished for it and obviously has served his punishment. That was just part and parcel of football. I am not holding any grudges, I don’t think anything, that’s just the way it is really.”
