Kyle Walker wants an opening day win
Tottenham star Kyle Walker is targeting maximum points from Spurs’ opening game against Newcastle.
The Magpies were only beaten three times on Tyneside as they finished fifth last season with the north Londoners playing out a 2-2 draw between them.
“To go to Newcastle is always going to be tough but I feel the additions have made the squad stronger, a new gaffer coming in has put his mark on the team and the way we’re playing, I think we’re going to do well next season,” said Kyle, on England duty this week.
“If you asked me now if I wanted a draw, I’d probably say ‘no, I want to win’.
“It’s good there’s a positive feeling around the camp and hopefully we’ll go there, get the win and make everyone happy.”
