Tottenham ace keen to forget about Charlie Adam and concentrate on football
Tottenham star Gareth Bale has deemed Liverpool ace Charlie Adam as not worth commenting on.
The Reds midfielder forced the Spurs forward off during their pre-season friendly in Baltimore and he left the ground on crutches.
It was the second time that the pair had clashed, with the Welshman ruled out for three months after a bad challenge from the Scot when he was playing for Blackpool.
“There’s been a lot of stuff in the media but I’m not paying too much attention to that, I just want to concentrate on my fitness,” Bale told Sky Sports News. “The most important thing for me is to get match fit.
“I only trained this morning. I’ve had ice on it 24/7. I wanted to be fit for this game, I know there’s not too many games left in pre-season and I wanted to get some minutes on the pitch.
“I was a bit concerned before the game, but then again I wanted to get my fitness up quicker and get ready for the Premier League season.
“I don’t hold a grudge, I’m just not going to comment: people like that are not worth commenting on. He knows he did wrong in himself, so we’ll just leave him to what he does.”
As another enthralling Premier League campaign comes to a close, it’s time to look at some of the men who made their mark.
