Transfer news: Igor Stimac is convinced that Luka Modric wants to play for Real Madrid
Croatia boss Igor Stimac believes that Tottenham star Luka Modric has made up his mind that he wants to join Real Madrid.
It is understood that Spurs do not want to waver from their asking price of £40million, especially as the playmaker has four years left on his contract.
“He (Modric) has already made his decision and he’s very clear about what he’s going to do,” Stimac said.
“It’s the only thing he wants, to go to Madrid.
“Luka is a very sincere person, very sensitive, but very tough as well. He is very keen to play at Real Madrid and, as well as that, he has the promise of Levy. I only hope that this promise ends up being fulfilled.”
Yaya Sanogo says a meeting with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was enough to persuade him to snub a move to Lille and join the Gunners instead.
