The Spurs head coach is unhappy with Giovani dos Santos

Tottenham head coach Andre Villas-Boas has blasted midfielder Giovani dos Santos after the Mexican announced that he wanted to leave the club.

The former Barcelona man has been desperate to leave White Hart Lane and the Portuguese boss’ appointment has not changed his mind.

“I am not sure what Gio’s thought process was, coming out with a statement like that,” said Villas-Boas.

“The player is contracted to the club. We respect him and are counting on him to return to club duty.

“Then we will make a decision that is best for the club.”
