Manuel Garcia Quillon says Spaniard wants his next job to be in the Premier League
Rafael Benitez’s agent Manuel Garcia Quillon says that his client wishes to manage in the Premier League and hinted that the former Liverpool boss would be keen to take charge of Tottenham.
Spurs are without a manager after sacking Harry Redknapp last week and the 52-year-old Benitez has been linked both with the north Londoners and Serie A outfit Sampdoria.
“There is nothing with Sampdoria,” Quilon told tuttomercatoweb.com. “I can 100 percent confirm that there is no chance [of him going to Sampdoria].
“Where is he now? He is in England and it is his intention to stay there and coach in the Premier League. Tottenham? I repeat, he wants to remain in England.”
Benitez has been out of work for over a year after he was sacked as Inter boss in December 2011.
