Tottenham defender Michael Dawson felt that Spurs had paid Manchester United back by scoring a last minute equaliser.
The Red Devils grabbed a late equaliser against the Lilywhites in 2008 through Carlos Tevez and the Spurs captain felt it was the perfect revenge for that moment.
“It was nice to get that late goal after what they did to us back then,” Dawson said.
“We were 1-0 down and we had nothing to lose, so we had to have a go.
“We had some great chances in the second half and had we not got the goal we would have been gutted. Clint’s been great since he came in – he scored important goals when he was a Fulham player and he’s doing it for us.”
Yaya Sanogo says a meeting with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was enough to persuade him to snub a move to Lille and join the Gunners instead.
