There’s a break from league action as Orient take on Walsall in the FA Cup tomorrow - and midfielder Dean Cox has his heart set on a trip to Old Trafford if they make it through.

The Premier League big boys enter at the third round stage, and while Cox is aware they have to take care of their League One rivals at Brisbane Road, an away tie against Manchester United would be ideal.

“We know it’s going to be a difficult game against Walsall,” the 26-year-old said.

“They came here in the league and picked up a point with 10 men, so maybe we owe them one.

“But I’d love to draw Man United away in the third round. I’ve never been to Old Trafford so it would be great.”

Striker Kevin Lisbie will still be sidelined with the ankle injury suffered in training before last weekend’s match against Sheffield United.

Cox is one of two survivors, along with goalkeeper Jamie Jones, of the team which took Arsenal to a replay in the 2010/11 FA Cup.

In that season the O’s knocked out Championship clubs Norwich and Swansea before drawing 1-1 with the Gunners at Brisbane Road.

Orient welcomed the Saddlers to Brisbane Road in September, and the Midlands club came away with a 1-1 draw to end the O’s 100 per cent League One record, despite playing with 10 men for most of the game.

Walsall’s Andy Butler was shown the red card after 17 minutes and David Mooney put the home side ahead before half time.

But Craig Westcarr equalised with 19 minutes remaining from Walsall’s first shot on target and Romain Vincelot was sent off in stoppage time to even up the numbers.
