League One: Coventry 3 Leyton Orient 1
Leyton Orient’s unbeaten run in League One was ended as Coventry completed a 3-1 win over the pacesetters.
Orient and QPR were the only two teams in England yet to be beaten this season but Rangers now stand alone after the Sky Blues’ success at Sixfields.
Carl Baker gave Coventry a 10th minute lead against an O’s side minus the injured Kevin Lisbie, but home goalkeeper Joe Murphy saved David Mooney’s second half spot kick as Russell Slade’s side looked to level.
But , Franck Moussa and Leon Clarke put the hosts into a surprisingly comfortable position.
Orient kept on plugging away though and substitute Yohann Lasimant got a last-gasp consolation, his first for the club, as they fell to their first league defeat of the campaign.
Despite the result, the O’s still top the table on goal difference after Peterborough United’s goalless home draw with Sheffield United.
