Goalkeeper: David Forde (Millwall)
It wasn’t a great week for our teams’ goalkeepers with none enjoying a clean sheet but Millwall’s number one gets the nod as, apart from Darren Bent’s opener he kept Premier League Aston Villa at bay.
Defender - Danny Shittu (Millwall)
The Lions centre back was a man mountain against Villa, scoring the leveller five minutes after Bent’s put the Premier League side in front and then spurring his side on, while reducing the Birmingham side to few chances.
Defender - Tony Craig (Brentford)
The 27-year-old didn’t put a foot wrong against Chelsea as the Bees came so close to a famous victory over the holders.
He helped keep Chelsea band of international superstars at bay and only two fantastic strikes from Oscar and £50million man Fernando Torres ensured they will face each other again in the replay at Stamford Bridge on February 17.
Defender - Shaleum Logan (Brentford)
The Bees man played out of position at left back and was fantastic going forward.
Midfield - Jonathan Douglas (Brentford)
The experienced Irishman led the team superbly against Chelsea, far outshining the multi-millionaire midfielders in the Blues’ ranks.
Midfield - Clayton Donaldson (Brentford)
The 19-goal striker played out wide and frustrated world class England international Ashley Cole all afternoon.
Midfield - Toumani Diagouraga (Brentford)
The 25-year-old was reportedly linked with Chelsea as a teenager before he signed for Wartford, and he showed the Blues what could have been as broke up their play and wasn’t afraid to put a tackle in as Ramires found out.
Midfielder - Juan Mata (Chelsea)
The Blues were facing an embarrassing FA Cup exit at Griffin Park until the mercurial Spaniard entered the fray at the start of the second half. His performance was hailed by interim manager Rafael Benitez as the reason the Stamford Bridge side are still in the competition they won last year.
Striker - John Marquis (Millwall)
The Lewisham-born Lions fan led the line superbly in only his second outing this term and he wrote himself into Millwall folklore with an 89th minute winner to sink Aston Villa 2-1 and book a fifth round trip to non-league Luton.
Striker – Olivier Giroud (Arsenal)
The Frenchman is starting to show why Arsene Wenger splashed out £13million to sign him from French champions Montpellier in the summer. Giroud twice put the Gunners in front against Brighton – his second consecutive brace – with two precise strikes.
Striker – Theo Walcott – (Arsenal)
The England international has been in fabulous form since signing a new three-year deal earlier this month. His 85th minute winner against Brighton not only spared his side’s blushes but it was the third consecutive game that he found the net.
