Leon Osman has praised fellow England newcomer Wilfried Zaha after the Everton and Crystal Palace duo took part in England training for the first time today.
The pair will both be hoping for England debuts when Roy Hodgson’s side face Sweden this week, and the 31-year-old Osman says Zaha, 20, has made a big impression already.
“We have all been hearing about how well Zaha has been playing in the Championship for a year or so,” said Osman.
“He has certainly been on everyone’s radar.
“He trained this morning, was direct and skilful and was committing people. He looks the real deal.”
After Chelsea’s Daniel Sturridge, Osman becomes the second Premier League star to praise Zaha after today’s training session.
Yaya Sanogo says a meeting with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was enough to persuade him to snub a move to Lille and join the Gunners instead.
