Chelsea star explains how Blues can end goal drought against West Ham

Chelsea midfielder Oriol Romeu says Rafael Benitez’s side need to counter-attack more quickly if they were to create more chances to score.

The Blues are still waiting for the first goal of new interim boss Benitez’s reign having followed up their 0-0 draw with Manchester City with another goalless stalemate against Fulham.

This weekend they face London rivals West Ham, where they will be hoping to get back to winning ways.

Romeu admits they need to create more chances and says the best way to do it is to counter-attack at greater speed.

“The counter-attack is a good point to kill the opponents and I think we can do it a bit quicker,” he told Chelsea’s official website.

“And, if we can do it, we can get chances a little bit better.

“So, we will try to improve that point and obviously we have a few more points to get better.”

He added: “We have to keep going forward, look at the positive things and win the games and fight, fight, in each game.

“When we get the confidence, the goals will go in. I’m sure about that.”
